Thank you for making Chair Affair 2026 a night to remember!

Celebrating 25 years of Community Warehouse with you on April 23 was incredible. Thanks to you, we exceeded our fundraising goal by 15%, raising nearly $400,000 to support our work this year.

At the heart of our mission is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves a home that feels like their own.

That belief comes to life in stories from neighbors like Ange, our special guest, who shared her experience with the furniture bank 13 years ago. What started as a single moment of stability became something much bigger over time. Ange shared:

“That little seed that sometimes people get–it grew. Other people watered it, but you all started the planting. I’m in the best place of my whole life, and that started with Community Warehouse.” 

Our furniture banks transform 65 empty houses into furnished homes every week. Your generosity makes helps make stories like Ange’s possible.

Honoring Co-Founder Roz Babener

Community Warehouse was created not only because our founders saw a need, but because they saw themselves and their families in its story. Community Warehouse is a story of immigrants, of neighbors helping neighbors, and of building something rooted in dignity, care, and the intention that every person who walks through our doors feels uplifted by the experience.

You can still feel that intention at Community Warehouse today. And so much of that heart comes from our co-founder, Roz Babener. We were grateful to formally honor Roz on stage and celebrate the lasting impact of her vision—one that continues to shape every home we help furnish today.

Children’s Chair Project

Prior to Chair Affair, local artists transform castoff chairs into beautiful, creative works of art. Businesses and individuals are invited to sponsor children’s chairs for $500 each. This project supports our mission, while centering the dignity, autonomy, and joy of our littlest furniture bank visitors.

The whimsical chairs will be displayed at Chair Affair for guests to view and enjoy. After the event, the chairs are return to our furniture banks, where children visiting the furniture bank with their family can pick out their very own one-of-a-kind chair.
