A bequest to Community Warehouse gives you peace of mind, knowing that you’ll make a positive impact for years to come. Any bequest, large or small, has a remarkable impact on our mission, and ultimately, on our community.

Please let Community Warehouse know of your plans so we can share our gratitude now by recognizing you as a member of our Legacy Circle. Please contact development@communitywarehouse.org or fill out the form below.

A bequest can include more than just financial support – it can also include securities or property. While we do not provide estate sale services, we will happily accept dignity-condition furniture and household items. You can add us to your will through a “specific bequest”, with the suggested language: “I give, devise, and bequeath to Community Warehouse [specific furniture description] for the organization’s charitable purposes.” Donations are tax-deductible. 

Please notify your family to contact Community Warehouse when they are ready to donate your furniture on your behalf, and let them know there is a pickup fee if they need to utilize our pickup service. 

Thank you for thinking of Community Warehouse with your belongings, knowing that they will benefit neighbors in your community.

To leave a gift in your will or living trust, share this sentence with your financial planner or attorney:

“I bequeath ($____ or _____% of my estate) to Community Warehouse, located at 3969 NE MLK Jr Blvd, Portland, OR.” Or, you can designate Community Warehouse as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy. You can modify your bequest at any time if your circumstances change.
