CHAIR AFFAIR ARTISTS

Every spring, Community Warehouse hosts its annual Chair Affair event to raise critical mission funds.

At the heart of the event are brilliant, one-of-a-kind Children’s Chairs created by local artists.

These chairs are then picked by children visiting our furniture banks. This helps even our smallest neighbors feel the comfort and dignity of living in a furnished home.

How does the Children’s Chair Project work?

Local artist volunteers source or receive from Community Warehouse,  discarded or unwanted chairs ready for a new life.  The artists then transform the chairs into unique, joyful pieces of functional art for children.

After being completed, all chairs are featured on our website and/or displayed at our Chair Affair fundraising event for sponsorship by supporters. These sponsorships provide critical funds supporting Community Warehouse’s mission.

Every chair finds a new home with children who are visiting Community Warehouse with their families to receive services. 

We are in the process of showcasing and distributing this year’s chairs and have concluded our recruitment phase.

We look forward to welcoming new and returning artists this summer for next year’s 2027 Chair Affair.
