CHAIR AFFAIR ARTISTS

Every spring, Community Warehouse hosts its annual Chair Affair event to raise critical mission funds.

At the heart of the event are brilliant, one-of-a-kind children’s chairs created by 40+ local artists. These chairs are displayed and “sponsored” by guests at the main Chair Affair event on April 21st, before they are returned to Community Warehouse to be picked out by children of families served.

January 6/7 and 13/14  |  Children’s Chairs Available for Pickup

Children’s Chairs to refurbish will be available for pickup on two weekends: January 6/7 and January 13/14 at both our Portland and Tualatin locations between 10:30am and 4pm. Please drop by on either weekend to choose from our selection. Chairs are first-come first-serve. When you arrive, please ask a team member to show you where the children’s chairs are located.

Note: we have a decent supply of small chairs this year, but we appreciate any artists who are willing to find chairs at garage sales, thrift stores, or anywhere you please!


March 30
  |  All Children’s Chairs Due

Please deliver your work to our Portland Warehouse (3969 NE MLK Blvd, 97212) on or before March 30, 2018. A volunteer or staff member will help take in your work.

IMPORTANT! Please include a small tag (either tied on or gently affixed to your piece) that has your ARTIST NAME and TITLE OF YOUR CHAIR. If you would like to create a nice card or tag with your artist statement, logo, or contact information, please do. We will display these with your piece.


April 19
  |  Artist Reception
