"On the Level"
Kim Short received his BS from Case Western Reserve University, awarded jointly with the Cleveland Institute of Art. He also holds an MAT from Pacific University. He is currently a member of the Fine Arts faculty at Westview High School in Beaverton, Oregon. Since moving to Portland in 1997, he has been a visual arts and art education instructor at Pacific University, Concordia University, the Portland Art Museum Family program and Beaverton’s Mountain View Middle School.
His work has been exhibited regionally and was awarded the Best of Show, Visual Arts Showcase 2007, curator – Laura Russo. He has been actively involved in a wide variety of charitable art projects including, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and Southwest Washington, The Candlelighters for Children with Cancer and The Beaverton Salmon Project.
Kim’s work is primarily mixed media pieces incorporating print-making, found objects and painting.
