General Donation Guidelines
- Items must be safe, clean, and functional
- Items must be in ready-to-use condition, with all parts assembled
- Upholstered items and mattresses must be free of stains, rips, odors, and pet hair
- Items must be from a non-smoking household

Residential Donation Pickup Service

Through December 31st, all standard pick-ups will be available on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale!
In order to increase accessibility, rates will start as low as $20 and increase from there!
Priority Pickup
We offer Priority Pickup through our partners at ReSupply.
Priority Pickup Guidelines
- Pickups within 48 hours.
- Variable pickup fee calculated upon scheduling based on quantity and type of items.
- Any and all items accepted! All eligible items are donated while remaining items are ethically disposed of.
- Item retrieval from anywhere including within residence or a storage unit.
- Disassembly of items that need it (except doors, cabinets, or lighting).
- Fee reflects the operating costs and is much smaller than a usual moving company or junk hauler fee. (fee is not tax deductible)
Standard Pickup
We offer Standard Pickup directly through Community Warehouse.
Standard Pickup Guidelines:
- Pickups are scheduled roughly one week in advance.
- We can only accept items that match our Donation Guidelines.
- All items must be ground level, accessible by five steps or fewer. Donations on upper floors must be elevator accessible. Items left outdoors must be in a clean and dry location.
- All kitchenware and linens must be washed and boxed or bagged.
- All items are inspected at our drivers’ discretion; they are well trained in what we accept for donations!

We had been struggling for awhile to convince our mother to let go of her long-accumulated furniture and belongings. The idea of giving mom’s furniture to Community Warehouse, where it could do such good for local families, was really helpful for her in the letting go process.
