The Furniture Build Project

    Calling all group volunteers!

    Are you looking for a hands-on, fun, meaningful team-building experience? Sign up for an on-site Furniture Build.

    Through an ongoing partnership with Simpli-Home, we receive monthly shipments of unassembled furniture. We never know exactly what we’re going to get – anything from console tables to loveseats – and that’s part of the fun! Groups of volunteers work to build that furniture so that families can take them home assembled. Some pieces even go to our Estate Stores, where they are sold to raise critical funds that support our mission.

    You can help give the simple gift of quality, stylish furnishing to families. We’re always looking for volunteers to help assemble this furniture. Or, a monetary donation to The Dresser Fund ensures we always have enough furnishings on hand.

    – Great for corporate volunteer groups, clubs, etc.
    – Two or three-hour shifts (morning or afternoon).
    – Minimum of 4 and maximum of 15 volunteers.
    – Opportunities available Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays.
    – Volunteers must be 16 years or older.

    Many deserving people in our community are striving to get back on their feet and create solid home foundations for themselves and their children. And yet, they can barely make ends meet. For these families, household furnishings can make a world of difference, and local furniture banks are the solution.
