Kindra Crick is a Pacific Northwest native, an artist, and an experimentalist. She uses encaustic painting and printmaking to combine her love for scientific inquiry with visual expression. Kindra has shown her work locally and nationally and was recently awarded a RACC Grant for her show Paradigm Shift: Bonds and Binds at the Ann Lobe Bronfman Gallery in Washington D.C.
Her grandfather was a prominent biologist, while her grandmother painted the female form and introduced her to painting at a very early age. Crick attended Princeton University, where she graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology. She studied painting with Philip Hanson at Ox-Bow, an artist residency in Saugatuck, MI and received a Certificate in Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Kindra enjoys a good Oregon Pinot Noir and is pleased to be contributing a piece of work to support the Community Warehouse, hoping that her work might encourage others to do the same.
