Julie Emry’s glasswork began with an invitation to participate in a celebrity auction for children with cancer. A 20-year career as a TV news anchorwoman had taken her to Texas, Boston and back to hometown Portland, where she is discovering new outlets for her art and journalism degrees from the University of Washington (1980).
Julie has donated a number of fused glass pieces to charity, most notably to raise money for CASA for Children, serving abused and neglected children in Multnomah and Washington Counties in Oregon. She also sells her work in limited retail locations.
