Heidi Lay has been creating mosaic art for over 10 years. She studied under many of the world’s most respected and gifted mosaic artists, who were generous enough to share their passion and methods.
Heidi loves exploring the infinite source of mediums, techniques and textures mosaic allows, knowing that it would be impossible to ever settle on just one. She is consistently drawn to glass because of its transparent qualities, which illuminate the piece once it is set against grout.
Heidi and her coworkers at Autodesk have adopted Community Warehouse as their favorite non-profit organization and all of them wanted to contribute. They created this mosaic together as a way to give back to the community.
