Brook Ashley’s creative interests include working on her 1928 bungalow and tending her organic edible garden. Her creative energies flow over to altering furniture, creating art quilts and designing her unique, and very popular collection of “Plushies.”
Recycling and reinterpreting materials is at the heart of her artistic endeavors, while keeping in mind that “form follows function.” Her biggest challenge is to work fast enough – from mind-to-paper-to-completion – so her head doesn’t explode!
Brook graduated from San Diego State University in Applied Design with an emphasis in Furniture Design, but she’s settled in Portland, along with her unfinished projects.
